Program overview

In this program experienced psychologist and program facilitator Charles Thermos will introduce

the following six core themes from the contemporary fields of Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACT):

1. Creating purpose and meaning
2. Connecting with the present moment
3. Accepting and allowing what is
4. Living courageously
5. Living optimistically and gratefully
6. Forming and deepening connections /relationships

Discover, explore & learn

  • a range of mindfulness practices for living in the present
  • practical strategies and tools for each theme
  • suggestions for integrating these
  • practices, strategies and tools into daily life

Learning approaches

  • experiential and reflective exercises
  • small and large group work
  • practice exercises between sessions
  • written resources

Suitability

Any person wanting to live a more resilient, mindful and courageous life in the present

Dates:

Thursday 9 February 2012 (7-9pm); and,

Saturdays 25 February; 3, 17 March 2012 (10am-12noon)
